Take a look at this image: And if you look closely - Europe is not the place where the next generation of managers / leaders / owners are getting born. That place is Asia. Remember how we used to study in science about osmosis? Liquid goes from the area of high pressure to low pressure. Same way in this story - the people move away from competing in high competition areas like Asia - to low competition like Europe. And so many people have been doing this! A few years ago, a German automotive supplier called Dr. Schneider Group ran into serious trouble. The company manufactures interior parts for cars — things like dashboards, lighting systems, and panels. It was a classic German Mittelstand company. Founded decades ago. But the company struggled financially and eventually filed for insolvency. That’s when something interesting happened. An Indian company stepped in. The Indian automotive supplier Samvardhana Motherson International acquired the German company for about €118 million and took over the business. The German firm employed around 4,500 people across multiple countries, including Germany, Spain, Poland, the U.S., and China. Instead of disappearing, the company now continues operating under new ownership. Think about that for a moment. A company built in Germany… now run by a company from India. And this is not an isolated case. The bigger structural opportunity in GermanyThe reason these stories matter today is because Germany is entering a massive generational transition in business ownership. According to reporting on the German economy:
This means something remarkable is happening. Thousands of companies that took 30–40 years to build are looking for the next generation of operators. Sometimes that successor is:
Their children often don’t want to run the business. And that creates an unusual opportunity. Sometimes foreign companies buy these businesses. Sometimes foreign managers take leadership roles. Sometimes skilled professionals rise through the ranks and eventually run these companies. But there is one common factor. Language. Most of these companies are not global tech giants. They are family businesses. Meetings happen in German. Which means the people who speak German unlock far more opportunities. Better jobs. Look Reader India mein log German seekhne ko 10th class ke board exams ki tarah treat karte hain. "Next batch kab start hoga?" "Daily 2 ghante ki live Zoom class leni padegi." "Jab tak teacher live aake na padhaye, tab tak kaise hoga?" If you are working a 10-hour corporate job or managing college as a student, this old-school mindset is a complete trap. Do din office ka kaam late hua, live class miss hui, and boom—momentum toot gaya. Phir wahi same excuse: "Yaar, German seekhne ka time hi...
