I left India. And I never once regretted it.

I opened my dashboard this morning for price adjustments and I couldn't believe my eyes.

Did you see the INR / EUR exchange rate? The Indian rupee is becoming like the Pakistani Rupee - a complete banana currency.

Things are getting expensive, currency is getting weaker, safety is non-existent and everything runs on connections or 'jugaad'.

Is that really what you want to settle for?

Was that what you dreamt of?

Now I’ll tell you a story. It might even be yours.

You were the smart one in your class.
The one who stayed up late, did everything right.
Good grades, good degree. Maybe even a decent job now.

But somewhere between the honking traffic,
the 6-day work week, and your landlord demanding 10 months' deposit,
you started asking yourself:

“Is this really it?”

Your parents tell you to be grateful.
The news tells you India is shining.
Your friends on Instagram are pretending it’s all fine.

But deep down, you know the truth:

  • You live in a country where talent doesn’t win — connections do.
  • Where justice crawls, corruption flies, and dreams are buried under jugaad.
  • Where your weekends are just recovery, not freedom.

And the worst part?
You still feel guilty for wanting more.

Let me tell you something no one else will:

You don’t owe your country your misery.

You're not weak for wanting clean air, stable systems, or peace of mind.
You’re not selfish for wanting to build a future in a place that actually values your time and skill.

You’re just smart enough to realize that:

India is not broken because of you — but staying silent or stuck won’t fix it either.

Look around you.

The people who questioned the system?
Who made videos, gave talks, shouted for reform?

They all left.

  • Dhruv Rathee? Lives in Germany.
  • Mohak Mangal? Studied in the UK. Lives abroad.
  • Shwetabh Gangwar? Quietly relocated.
  • Even your IIT & IIM seniors? Filling out H1B forms like lottery tickets.

They diagnosed the disease, then booked a flight out.
They made peace with one hard truth:

This country punishes people who think too much and ask too many questions. And you cannot be safe while you do that.

So if you're still here, still waiting, still hoping the system will someday see your worth—

You have to ask yourself:

“Am I being loyal, or just stuck?”

And you?

Still waiting?

If you're done waiting, here's what to do next:

If you are student, start learning German and think about studying in tuition free universities in Germany.

If you are an employee with some work experience, learn German and start looking for jobs the right away.

If you are someone with more than 15+ years of work experience - learn German and invest in yourself to get to a place where you have a work life balance and where your work is appreciated.

Germany will not Germaning if you don't learn German. But if you do, a completely different life opens up for you in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

Whether you want to study, work, or just start over — it's all in there.

👉 Start your escape plan now

(And no, this isn't about hating India.
It’s about choosing yourself.)

Because you weren’t born just to survive.

You were born to live and build what you care for.

Every Friday night I try to read a little. So yesterday night, I read a story on my favourite science fiction forum and it was something so deep that I just couldn't stop thinking about. It's the story about the city of Omelas. A city bathed in light.Peaceful. Happy. Thriving.People smile. The streets hum with life. Music, laughter, celebration. From the outside, it’s paradise.A perfect world. But underneath this beautiful city,in a basement no one talks about, there is a child. The child is...
